CLARITY Act

The CLARITY Act provides legislative framing for how digital assets are classified under US securities and banking law — complementing the GENIUS Act’s focus on stablecoin issuance. It addresses the boundary between securities and non-securities tokens, secondary market trading frameworks, and how token issuers interact with existing SEC and CFTC jurisdiction. Together with the GENIUS Act, it forms the dual legislative foundation for US stablecoin and digital asset regulation.
