FMI (Financial Market Infrastructure)

FMIs are the institutions that make financial markets function: CCPs, CSDs, payment systems, trade repositories, and central counterparties. The CPMI/IOSCO Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMI) establish 24 principles governing their risk management, governance, and operational resilience. Every stablecoin settlement system that reaches systemic scale will eventually be evaluated against PFMI standards.
